Installation

In order to develop it's full potential, make sure to download the additional hc-system service and hc-navigation for a smoother embedded experience:

Configuration

Get information on how to implement websites and web interfaces into the HC-Navigation and by themselves.
Open the respective dropdown and see how the integration is done step by step.




  1. Open the context menu and click the gearwheel icon in order to navigate to the settings.




2. Add a new button to the navigation bar by clicking the "+"-symbol



3. Configure the button by your' personal preferences


4. Select "Embedded Browser ☑" in the "App" section


5. In order to open the browser settings, click the gearwheel icon.




6. By clicking the "+"-icon, you can create a new embedded site with the browser.




7. Name the entry accordingly and open the embedded configuration menu by clicking the gearwheel icon.




8. Enter the desired URL or IP address into the URL bar. You can see the entered site in the background. It is also possible to navigate in the browser window whilst the settings menu automatically fetches the URL from the window.




8.1. If the web address is availible irregularly check the "Url fixed ☑" box and enter the desired web address there.



9. As soon as the desired page is visible, switch to the "Position/Size" menu tab.




10. Configure zoom, position and size of the window just as you wish.

Afterwards the configuration menu can be closed. It automatically saves the last state.




11. Save the configuration with the floppy disk icon.



12. Select the newly created browser configuration in the "App" section and save the button.




13. The embedded site is ready to go and accessible by just one click.




  1. Open up "hc-browser-Settings.exe". This file is located in the installation folder of the browser.




2. Click the "+"-icon to configure a new instance of the embedded browser.




3. Name the entry accordingly and open the embedded configuration menu by clicking the gearwheel icon.




4. Enter the desired URL or IP address into the URL bar. You can see the entered site in the background. It is also possible to navigate in the browser window whilst the settings menu automatically fetches the URL from the window.

8. In the browser's installation folder, right click the app icon and create a shortcut on your' desktop.




9. Right clickt the desktop shortcut and select "Properties".




10. In the "Start in:" input field, add "–name:Gebäudevisualisierung". In this case "Gebäudevisualisierung" is the name of the browsers embedded site configuration.


You can now acces the embedded site by opening the shortcut on the desktop.


In order to add a new page to the favorites list, simply click the unfilled start in the search bar.

The page is now added to favorites with the information provided by its' metadata.




Edit the newly added entry to customize its' appearance.

Use the button with the "three stacked dots" to open the dropdown menu and select "EDIT FAVORITES"




Select the entry that you want to edit and click "rename 🗈".

Enter a custom description for the page in your' favorite sites.



Use the "Move ⬆" and "Move ⬇" buttons in order to move the selected item up and down in the list.

The "Delete 🗑" button removes the selected item from the favorites.

In order to create a new embedded window setting, open the menu by clicking the "three stacked dots" button
to open the dropdown menu.



Select "Edit embedded windows".


Click "NEW +" and enter a name for the embedded setting.

Open the configuration by clicking the gearwheel symbol on the right.




In the configuration menu, enter the URL of the site you want to embed.

Navigation ☑ show: search bar is visible in embedded mode

User-Agent ☑ is Google Chrom: switches to displaying Chrome as User Agent for website compatiblity

Touch ☑ disable gesture: disables touch gestures for zoom / prev / next

Argumente: Enter start arguments (which can be found further down) here.

Java Script 🗈 ☑: Here, custom java script can be added. Whenever the site starts, the script will be run.
